WERC is holding a discounted room block for GWS at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort & Convention Center, located at 201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, MD 20745.

The booking link for a discounted room will be provided in your GWS registration confirmation email. Please note that rooms in the WERC GWS room block are reserved for registered attendees of GWS only and that rooms booked under the names of non-registered guests may be subject to cancellation. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The hotel cutoff date is Tuesday, 1 October, or whenever rooms sell out — whichever occurs first. 

Rooms are available for $299 plus 18% sales tax and a $27 daily resort fee. An advance deposit consisting of one night's room rate and tax will due at the time of booking. Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit one night's room rate and tax.

Traveling to the National Capital Region

The region has three nearby airports. They are:

Another option for travel is by train. Union Station in nearby Washington, DC, provides access to regional lines and Amtrack trains. 

The resort does not offer an airport shuttle service to nearby airports. Guests may arrange for taxi or car ride app services. Once on-property, Private Car Services and Limousine/Van services are available. On-site parking is available. Guests may choose from valet or self-parking. 

The local Metro system for public transportation does not go to National Harbor. 


Getting Around

Nestled along the picturesque Potomac River, National Harbor offers an unparalleled blend of entertainment, dining, and leisure. Attendees will admire stunning views of the nation's capital from the iconic Capital Wheel, a towering Ferris wheel offering breathtaking panoramas of the Washington Monument and beyond. You’ll find everything you need to enjoy your conference experience onsite at National Harbor, but if you plan to visit Washington, DC, it’s a 30 to 45-minute ride via ride share or water taxi.

National Harbor Circulator Bus

As part of your overnight stay, Gaylorhotel guests can ride the National Harbor Circulator bus for free. This bus runs daily and can take visitors to MGM, Tanger Outlets and the National Harbor Waterfront. Simply present your room key and enjoy the ride. Tickets cost $10 for non-hotel guests.

Water Taxi

The water taxi service offers routes connecting The Wharf to Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria, and National Harbor. Learn more and view schedules.

Local Tours

Gaylord National Resort partners with Old Town Trolley to provide shuttle service to downtown Washington, D.C., and tours of the Capital region. Tickets for all tours can be purchased at the concierge desk at Gaylord National.
